Nutty Morning

In the kitchen garden I noticed a curious thing
Sunlight, butter and wheat bread… even
Banana fritters elbowed to be the Golden King
But my vote was for pumpkin and sunflower seeds
Each of which humbly hid
Manifold such future yields.
